“St. Cyril’s Lucaris” Orthodox Theological and Cultural School provides a two (2) years 90% by distance and 10% in person ‘Diploma in Theological and Cultural Studies’.

In earning a Diploma in Theological and Cultural Studies, students gain a structure and a main knowledge in Orthodox theology and history. The two-year course, educates students through the study of such disciplines as intro to the Old and New testaments, general and local Church history, catechesis, ecclesiastical music, Orthodox iconography, dogmatics, bioethics, missionary and modern world, parish management and organization, pastoral psychology, first aids, scripture, etc.

This program is designed to offer a general introduction to the Orthodox theology and an introduction to the modern Greek language.

In addition to four (4) semesters of full-time academic study, students are afforded the opportunity to participate in the integral religious life of the Orthodox Church of Ghana community in the context of daily worship and personal spiritual guidance.

  • 90% distance learning and 10% in person
  • 20-25 students per year
  • Entry requirements: Diploma of Senior High School or Post-Secondary Studies, BA or BSc in other scientific fields, certification in English language.
  • Tuition fees: Free for the Orthodox Christians at Ghana. Other religious and overseas: 150$ per semester.
