Current research interests:
• Liquid and solid waste management.
• Integrated processes for the utilization of agro-industrial waste.
• Production of biofuels.
• Biorefinery and bioeconomic processes for the production of high value-added products (succinic acid, lactic acid, etc.) and bioenergy from waste.
• Design of sustainable bioprocesses.
• Development of technologies for the treatment of emerging and persistent pollutants.
• Design of pilot units and simulation of advanced waste treatment processes.
