Students have the option to complete a dissertation or enrolling to 3 non-compulsory modules of 4 credits each (i.e. take 12 credits of selected non-compulsory modules instead). The dissertation deals with a topic related to the subject area of the degree. The dissertation is carried out in the eighth semester (H ') of studies.

Academic staff who teach at the Department, (within their employment responsibilities), are requested to undertake the supervision of dissertations. The supervisor or supervisors of a dissertation are responsible for guiding students, offering advice and providing the necessary facilities in places and equipment.

The subjects of the dissertation are stated at the Department's secretariat usually at the beginning of each academic semester by supervisor-supervised professors and by student-student.
