To be awarded the Master’s Degree, students are required to successfully complete 90 credits of the European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System (ECTS) (30 credits per academic semester), through participation in all educational and research activities of the program.
The curriculum of each specialization of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program includes, among other components, teaching (theory, tutorials, and laboratory exercises), research activities (preparation of scientific papers and studies), and mandatory internship placement in a cultural institution (1 month).
Attendance of courses is mandatory and is conducted 90% through distance learning methods, while only the laboratory component of the courses that include one (corresponding to approximately 10% of the total educational workload of the program) takes place in person at the facilities of the Department of Environment in Zakynthos.
In-person laboratory teaching is scheduled during weekends (at most two per semester) to enable participation of postgraduate students who are working or reside outside Zakynthos.
Modifications to the course schedule and redistribution of courses between semesters may be made by decision of the competent governing bodies.
The Master’s Thesis may be written in either Greek or English.
