Internal Operating Regulation of the Joint Postgraduate Studies Program (J.P.S.P.)
The Internal Operating Regulation of the J.P.S.P. was updated during the winter semester of the academic year 2023–2024 to ensure full compliance with the most recent legislation (Law 4957/2022). The initial revision was conducted by the members of the Programme of Studies Committee (PSC) of the J.P.S.P. and subsequently submitted to the University’s Postgraduate Studies Committee for review and relevant feedback. The final version, incorporating the necessary minor amendments, was approved by both the Programme of Studies Committee and the Ionian University Senate. The Regulation was published in the Government Gazette with reference number Series B, no. 6957/11-12-2023.
The Regulation comprises eighteen (18) Articles, covering the following areas: General Provisions; Academic Fields of Study/Specializations; Governing Bodies of the J.P.S.P.; Duration of Studies and Benefits; Extension of Studies; Suspension of Studies; Structure—Modules—Credit Units; Teaching Staff; Call for Applications—Eligibility/Requirements; Candidate Selection Procedure; Candidate Selection Criteria; Written Entrance Examinations; Announcement of Selection Results; Attendance—Teaching and Examinations; Diploma Thesis; Grading—Award of Degree; Evaluation of the J.P.S.P.; Tuition Fees and Scholarships.
The Curriculum—including titles of educational units, their type and ECTS credits—as well as a concise description of the content of all modules, supplement the main text of the Regulation as Annexes. It should be noted that, since the entry into force of the new legislation (Law 4957/2022) in the academic year 2022–2023, the J.P.S.P. has been operating in full compliance with relevant legislative provisions.
The Internal Operating Regulation of the J.P.S.P. was formally approved by the Ionian University Senate and published in the Government Gazette (Series B, no. 6957/11-12-2023).
