Course attendance is compulsory, delivered 100% remotely (synchronous online instruction). The Postgraduate Program or Master’s Degree (MSc) is structured on three semesters: 2 semesters for course attendance and 1 semester for the preparation/writing of the Diploma Thesis. Each student must accumulate 90 ECTS to be awarded the Master’s degree.
The MSc aims to promote the practical applications of New Technologies in Environmental Education and Sustainable Development. Particular emphasis is placed on the use of Creative Technologies to create and deliver educational content(s)/syllabi through contemporary audiovisual media, and, on a more advanced level, on the possibility for creative expression for environmental issues through contemporary forms of digital art. More specifically, the program’s goal is to provide specialization in the interdisciplinary, scientific field that arises from the intersections of the Environment, Education, New and Creative Audiovisual Technologies, and the Digital Arts. The program’s primary objective is to transfer expert knowledge and to enhance both formal and creative skills for the implementation of educational programs that promote the dissemination of sustainable development and the responsible use of natural resources.
Upon completion of the program, degree holders will have developed skills in analysis, design, creative expression, and communication in the field of Environmental Education to promote Sustainable Development. Additionally, they will have acquired the ability to structure/create and deliver environmental programs based on contemporary audiovisual representations and the practical application of specialized methods/methodologies and technologies.
