, Aggelopoulos PetrosScientific research, across disciplines, is grounded in the analysis of observational data and the ensuing epistemological inference. It is widely acknowledged that the world and society constitute complex, multi-parameter systems characterized by interdependent and often contradictory processes. Consequently, identifying the laws or regularities governing such interconnected populations remains a field of diverse methodological approaches. Within this framework, the present course examines the dynamic relationship between quantitative and qualitative research paradigms. Emphasis is placed on their underlying epistemological logics, respective methodological tools—statistical inference and interpretive analysis—and the integrative potential of mixed methods for the holistic interpretation of data derived from experiments, questionnaires, and interviews.
